I’ve never listened to Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” album, and I haven’t seen The Wizard of Oz since I was aware that a band called Pink Floyd existed (circa age 10 (events unrelated)).  I have no idea whether or not they sync up, but if they do, that’s not that impressive to me.

People (stoners) talk about this like it’s an act of God.  It’s not.  The Wizard of Oz and “Dark Side of the Moon” were not created on opposite ends of the universe.  Oz had been well-ingrained into our popular culture by the time Pink Floyd became a band.  It’s very possible that they do indeed sync up.  If they do, it’s probably because Pink Floyd meant to do it.  Which, to me, isn’t that impressive.  It would be more impressive if “Dark Side of the Moon” synced up with Batman & Robin.  However, that would be an undeniably shittier album.
