Why can I not watch an episode of Dexter without sitting through the theme song?
It’s probably the fact that it shows simple, mundane tasks with staggeringly high detail, much like a serial killer/psychopath’s mind places a high amount of detail on simple, mundane things. It looks like they used a high-speed camera (a la Mythbusters’ slow-motion camera) except they ran it at normal/slightly lower than normal speed.
Either that, or it’s the fact that the ham and eggs look fucking delicious.
